The Data Scientist is viewed as a mathematics & computer science expert who can use data, primarily big data, to identify and create solutions to complex problems. This professional is also creative, and may constantly look to make advancements in the accessibility and utilization of data to make "human-like" decisions. Depending on the environment, a Data Scientist may also be referred as a Machine Learning Engineer or a Big Data Developer though these titles can be separate functions in more established/advanced environments.
